After the clean-up, volunteers celebrated their success at Grant Park where they enjoyed lunch donated by Doc Green’s. Under tents set up around the Grant Park pavilion, many environmental nonprofit groups and businesses in eco-friendly industries provided opportunities for citizens to gain a greater understanding of what they can do and how they can become involved in recycling, eradicating litter, and conserving natural resources.
On November 17, 2007, the national America Recycles Day (see www.AmericaRecycles.org), the City celebrated Atlanta Recycles Day & Mayor-thon Race 2 Recycle which took place at Isabel Gates Webster Park in the Harland Terrace Neighborhood, City Council District 10.
