CELEBRATE AMERICA RECYCLES DAY WITH THE RECYCLE & JUNK PARADE!
Runners are encouraged to dress up in costumes made from recycled and reclaimed materials for the Recycle & Junk Parade after the race, where awards will be given for most creative costumes. Ideas include:
• Create a hero and villain mythology with a recycled theme— e.g. Shredderman (he’s 80% post consumer waste, 20% butt-kickin’, but deep down he’s all heart) versus the Toxic Trash Gang (think leachy batteries and cyborg cockroaches).
• Dress up as your favorite environmentalist— e.g. Ted Turner look-alike.
•Create a corporate mascot with a recycle theme.
